Yashasvi Jaiswal, the 21 year-old sensation in the cricket world who became the talk of the town when he hit the unbeatable century, and became the youngest achieving cricketer in the world to score a List A double century. His inspirational story has held everyone astonished, proud and inspired.
Yashaswi’s roots belong from Uttar Pradesh and was an ordinary boy with an extraordinary essence of dreams and will power in him, belonging from a remote district of Bhadohi. He has always wanted to be a cricketer and to play for India, which is why he set mind to fulfilling his dreams, even if it meant waiting for and going through the challenges life threw at him with a strong strength in him. His family wasn’t under very well economical and financial conditions, so as a young boy with dreams in his eyes he had to work for himself and earn to buy cricket equipment and training he needed. Moreover, he first set his presence in the limelight in 2015 when he scored an all-round record in school cricket recognised by the Limca Book of Records. Soon he was selected in India’s under-19 squad and was the highest scorer(318 runs) at the Under-19 Asia Cup 2018 won by India. Jaiswal’s timeline is one for the provocative masses as in October 2019, he became the youngest double centurion in the history of List A cricket in 17 years, scoring 203 runs off 154 balls in a Vijay Hazare Trophy Match against Jharkhand.
